Moniepoint Acquires Orda to Deepen Push into Africa’s Food Economy

Africa’s fintech powerhouse Moniepoint has acquired Orda, a cloud based restaurant management platform, in a strategic move that signals its growing ambition to build a full scale business operating system for African enterprises.

The acquisition will see Orda integrated into Moniebook, Moniepoint’s all in one business management and POS platform, combining payments, inventory, sales tracking, and financial services into a single ecosystem.

This move positions Moniepoint beyond just a payment processor, reinforcing its transition into a full stack infrastructure provider for businesses, especially within Africa’s rapidly expanding food and restaurant industry.

Africa’s food service sector is currently valued at over $50 billion, with Nigeria’s market projected to hit $19.3 billion by 2030, making it one of the continent’s most dynamic and underserved economic segments.
