On Monday, the Lagos state government began a two-week training session for 50 city planners on how to effectively use drones to monitor land encroachment and other heinous activities. This is stated in a statement released by a spokesman for the Physical Planning Permitting Agency of the State of Abimbola-Umeh. He said that his party had conducted training in accordance with the state policy on the use and implementation of modern technologies in management and development.
He added that the training will increase the ability of staff to effectively monitor and conduct site inspections and advertising etiquette. He quoted the agency’s secretary general, Kehinde Osinaike, as saying that the use and deployment of drones would contribute to effective city planning activities.
