He added that NALDA is committed to achieving food security and development, animal husbandry, job creation and fattening cattle for hygienic milk and meat production. At the same time, the farm will train and encourage young farmers to engage in livestock and feed production, NALDA said.
The 100 hectare farm is located in Dabagin-lafia, opposite Usman Danfodio University Farm, and the poultry feed factory is located in Dayin village towards Doba, Sokoto State. “NALDA is working with Prime Ranch Ltd, which has donated 100 hectares of land for the construction of a cattle ranch and elephant pastures, as well as 30 hectares of corn and sorghum,” Ikonne said.
